Description:

It is the summer of 1941. Fascist tyranny dominates the European continent. The Red Army is in a desperate retreat eastward to escape the steel tide of the Wehrmacht. Japan’s expansion in the South Pacific goes unchecked. America still embraces isolation. The shadow of World War II chills every corner of the world.

Without pledging alliegence to the Allies or Axis, Peru and Ecuador go to war. Blood is shed in South America.

This mod adds some historical flavor to Hearts of Iron IV by including a conflict forgotten by history and overshadowed by the legacy of WWII: the Ecuadorian-Peruvian War of 1941 (also called the "Zarumilla War of 1941"). In order to make this small event fit the world of a Hearts of Iron IV game, the war is actually a border war and no official war is declared. This is to ensure that Ecuador isn’t annexed by Peru or vise versa. Ecuador takes a historical path and relinquishes claims of territory upon defeat. However, if Ecuador can succedd, than they occupy disputed states.
