France : Fixed and Upgraded
Well, here’s my first actual mod.
(I will release new updates from time to time, so stay tuned !)
Well, it makes France a bit more playable – not for the AI cause it is still complete garbage – and realistic.
‘Cause it doesn’t feel quite right to see such a powerful country (at least before june 1940 lol) having the same R&D potential as Poland, and even less military factories than them, or even Spain.
For example, in 1936, France’s defense budget was only ~30% smaller than Germany’s one. Yeah, I know, quite hard to believe.
– One extra research slot at the beginning (the 2nd extra research slot has been removed for balance reasons).
– A few more military factories (now you will start with 14 instead of a pitiful 6).
– A new High Command Idea : Charles de Gaulle as an armor Expert.
– The Engineers company is unlocked at the beginning (who the hell didn’t have engineers in their army by 1936 ?).
– The B1 heavy tank is also unlocked, and in production (1 factory).
– A new electronics company : RADIOLA.
– 2 new naval manufacturers : the Ateliers "Chantiers de la Loire", and the "Chantiers Navals Français"
I thought France lacked some generals, so I looked it up on the web and BOOM there goes a few more. They even have decent (yet black and white) pictures.

Choose between three paths for the French Navy :
– Dominance in the Mediterranean : A huge focus on cruisers and harassment tactics. Your navy will sacrifice some armor to gain in speed and firepower to harass whoever would dare to challenge you in the Mediterranean.
– Forget about Washington : Off with the 1922 treaty. The French Navy will become the largest and the most feared in the world ! Not even the British will be able to challenge us !
– A new rising sun in the Pacific : With powerful aircraft carriers, the Pacific will be ours. Anyone who would try to defy us would face a rain of torpedoes and bombs.
