Have you ever played as Italy and thought “Man, Italy could be so much more had the developers taken the time to care at all!”. Lucky for you, no more will you have to wait until Paradox starts giving a crap because we’ve got a brand new mod for you!
As the official successor of the old Italian Overhaul Mod, Forza Italia is the newest HOI4 mod dedicated towards making Italy an enjoyable, immersive, and playable country without having to cringe and moan at the sight of generic historical inaccuracies, lackluster vanilla content, and undervalued modifiers. Forza Italia was created knowing that Italy, although having lost the war, possessed immeasurable potential had it taken its time to reform, build up, and time its entry into the war. So great was this potential, the Allies could have been defeated in the Mediterranean with ease.
Unlike vanilla Italy and other mediocre Italy mods, Forza Italia aims at establishing immersion, prioritizing attention to detail, and historical accuracy. With these three objectives, we have been able to create something new and enjoyable from a country that has been repeatedly humiliated since WW2.
In this mod, we have included:
- A greatly improved Italian focus tree
- An improved and expanded fascist focus tree
- A greatly improved and sensible industrial tree
- A brand new naval focus tree for the Regia Marina
- A brand new military focus tree for the Regio Esercito
- An expanded air force focus tree for the Regia Aeronautica
- A wide range of new military commanders and admirals
- An amazing plethora of Italian national spirits as well as historical ones
- Historical personality traits for Benito Mussolini
- A handful of new decisions and events
- Grammatically accurate and immersive focus titles and descriptions
- A balanced and historically accurate military staff
- Two new historical industrial companies
- A new tank designer
- A new ship designer

Forza Italia is compatible with most HOI4 mods that do not directly interfere with focus trees, decisions, events, and national spirits. Forza Italia is also now compatible with German overhaul mods!
We despise game bugs, it ruins gameplay, fun, and immersion. As developers, we are actively trying to locate and crush any bugs that are present in this mod. Although we attempt to make every update as bug free as possible, there will always be one that slips through. For everyone’s sake, we highly encourage people to report any bugs that they may encounter. If you do, please make sure you have joined our Discord, provide us with a screenshot, an elaborate description of the problem as well the list of mods you currently playing with. Once we receive your report, we will attempt to deliver a fix immediately!
