Better States
Welcome to Better States!
Better States is a mod that gives you greater territorial possibilities in Europe and the Balkans – it is now possible to recreate the borders of 1914. And even further:
– added Nancy, Western Belgium and Ostfriesland to allow Germany a more comfortable westward expansion
– Switzerland has now 4 states, which allow Germany and Italy to split it between them
– Plock and Lodz have been reshaped to allow Germany a more comfortable eastward expansion
– many new states in the Balkans allowing to draw new borders more precisely
– reshaped and new states in Germany, allowing to recreate the current borders of Germany and Poland
In addition to that, Memel also exist as a town now and belongs to the airzone of Western Poland. Germany now does not have to gain air superiorority over the Baltic States for covering Memel any longer.
Also the state of Saarland has been added, to allow France an old-school occupation of it.
Events have been added! Take new land or take back old land as Germany and be surprised..
Update 1.1:
– Further events have been added! Take german cities with poland and be surprised..
– Königsberg will be renamed to Kaliningrad if it is owned by the Soviet Union
– Historical borders of norway have been added!
– Polish population has been fixed
– Rhineland is now split into Rhineland and Ruhr area, for a more comfortable eastward expansion of france
– Shetland Islands have been added
– Historical borders of East Germany are now possible!
– More cities have been added!
– France now has three air zones: Northern, Southern and Eastern France!
– minor changes to the map
Update 1.2:
– It is finally here: modern borders of Lithuania are now possible!
– In addition to that, if Lithuania owns the state of Wilno it will get an event that allows you to make Wilno its capital city
– The partition of Slovenia is now possible!
– If Germany is divided into East and West Germany, West Germany will get an event that changes its capital to Bonn
– And if Germany is reunified, meaning West Germany owns the former DDR states, West Germany will change its name to Germany again
– A few states have been changed to allow France and Belgium a more comfortable expansion
– Napoleonic borders of France are now possible
– South Bucovina has been added
– Oesel Islands have been added
– East Prussia has been reshaped
– Ljubljana will be renamed to Laibach if it is owned by the German Reich
– City of Bonn added
– Belarus has now cores on Polesie and Nowogrodek
– Allenstein and Königsberg changed state id’s so that Poland gains a claim on Allenstein and not Königsberg if you finish the national focus "Give Poland Protection" with the Soviet Union
– minor changes to the map
Thank you for all your submissions on what should be added! I am giving my best to fulfill as many wishes as possible, but some of them would interfere with other aspects of the game,so please don’t think that I am not interested in your suggestions!
