OWB – Desert Rangers Visuals and Leaders
Here’s my model overhaul of the Desert Rangers infantry, modeled after the promotional artwork and iconic armor of course. It’s built from the ground up with love. I’ve also included a number of Ranger portraits to match their new appearance.
Those portraits will override the ones in the base game, including all the Ranger leadership. Be advised of compatibility problems.
It’s ambiguously lore appropriate, given the way the OWB team has handled the Rangers.
In the future I’m considering:
– Custom models for Ranger vehicles
– Adding this armor to the NCR’s Rangers with slight modifications
– Figuring out why their gun disappears when excersizing and smoking
– Adding Winterized Black Armor (visual only, for now)
– Allowing other factions to use this armor (like the NCR Enclave, or Nevada Enclave, only where it’s appropriate by lore)
– Allowing factions from other mods to use this armor (Dayglow in Shattered Wasteland, Enclave Reborn, etc)
– Overhauling the Desert Rangers faction themselves
I intend to work on some other faction models, but there is no timeline of when.
