Atomic!
“Atomic!” is a brave new mod that dares to ask the question “What if a nuclear war happened in 1995?”. The answer may surprise you. With an interface that has been reviewed as “…♥♥♥♥ing hell incarnate”, this mod will deliever a wonderful expirience.
The world is on a precipice. After a century of darkness the situation has returned to a state similar to the World Wars, with powers gearing up to defend their interests and assert themselves on the world stage. New factions have formed along the new ideological lines and things seem ready to go off at any moment.
This mod has a brand new section in the generic tree, allowing for every nation to change ideologies, join/create factions, and gain their own wargoals. This allows for a fairly dynamic global situation to develop and escalate outside of scripted events. This also creates a use for the historical focus option. Press it to make sure things stay sane.
The following nations are planned to get their own focus trees as well;
The Eastern Europeon Union (Tree In-Game): The last bastion of the old europeon order, the EEU is struggling to hold itself together. Tensions are high and it seems unlikely that it will survive in its current state for long.
The People’s Republic of Albania (Tree in progress): Albanian communists were some of the most successful people in the short-term after the nuclear war. Their nation has continued that legacy by encouraging their hoxhaist ideology.
The Utopian Republic of Argentina (Tree in progress): The Posadist republic has managed to create a name for itself in recent years, with a successful intervention overturning the Japanese government. They stand at risk of being rapidly overtaken by their new ally.
The Goonish Republic: A roving gang of raiders with a very limited diplomatic reach. No-one really knows exactly what their strategy is at any given time, but they seem to be gradually gathering power for something.
The Third Empire of Nigeria: Nigeria’s been the “next superpower” for decades. After multiple, multiple false starts, they seem to be in the beginning stages of actually emerging under a new, “moral” regime.
The United States: Its seen better days, but the US is still trying to bring back the glory days. With a rogue FEMA department pushing itself as a new foundation for the future, the federal government has its work cut out.
The Empire of Amazona: Amazona is an empire born out of strife, taking power in the chaos of a massive Brazilian corruption scandal. The empire intends to defend both the sanctity of society and the majesty of the rainforest.
The Pirate Empire of Oceania: Oceania is a hotbed of organized raider activity. With a charismatic leader in charge, they should be able to exert a massive influence. And yet. Their main tributary Madagascar seems eager to ignore its obligation.
