Smoking Snakes: A Brazillian Focus Tree Mod
Welcome to "Smoking Snakes: A Brazillian Focus Tree Mod" , this mod aims to bring much more flavour to Brazil, while not being overpowered.
In 1936, Brazil is in a difficult position. Since the revolution of 1930 put Getúlio in power, many political sectors are organizing a fierce opposition against him. Even though Getúlio enjoys the support of the Integralists, this is not enough to counter the communist threat. The economy is also not in its best state, and the crisis caused by its reliance in agriculture during the first world war has left its mark. Not to mention the banditry of the "Cangaçeiros", that terrorize the northeast. To solve this, there are multiple paths that you can take:
STAY WITH GETÚLIO:
Staying with Getúlio Vargas, you can join both the Axis or Allies, or even create your own faction. You get political power bonuses, more stability and various industrial bonuses through decisions. But beware: A lot of people will want to get rid of you.
SUPPORT THE INTEGRALISTS:
With the integralists, there are two choices you can take: The Integralist Republic, led by Plínio Salgado, that grants you bonuses focused on your army, as well as extra manpower, and extra general and extra military factories, or bring back the Empire of Brazil, wich grants you cores on Uruguay, naval bonuses, and also lets you unite with Portugal through decisions. You can join the Axis, Japan or make your own faction.
DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS:
As a democracy, you get various economic focuses, and also bonuses to your research speed and an extra research slot. But this comes with the downside of the common democratic restrictions. Youc an join the allies or create your own faction.
COMMUNIST REVOLUTION:
Famous revolutionary Luiz Carlos Prestes, alongside his wife nad various communist agents, are organizing a way to bring communism to Brazil. The most efficient path, even though it is also the most bloody, is a revolution. As a communist, you can do various communist policies, and join the Comintern or create your own faction.
In-game the mod is called "Expanded Brazil"
