This is entirely based off of one single image i came across once when looking for an American tribes map that i was using for another mod that has halted all progression. There is no form of realism behind it and is not to be seen as "alternate history", just the interpetation of a random online image from this site:

I am fully aware that certain states are in the wrong shapes but i partially changed the borders to fit more with natural borders like rivers and mountains which quite deformed some states
Fixing leaders for the countries was the hardest part because there were not a lot of accurate records of tribal leaders as far as i can find. Often was is the case aswell that the tribal leaders were politicians within the USA, thus the modern attire for them. If no good tribal leader was up to date i just used the last one if there is a picture from it and just change the name. Most of the lesser known tribes have leaders that i picked random portraits from online and decided on arbitrary names based on popular culture of native america. All portraits are selected by the findings of my low-effort research and should not be taken seriously in consideration for the ideology that they represent in this mod. 90% of the images are colorized by hand by me and i do not take issue in chaning them if anyone knows the ACTUAL leader for certain tribes in these times. For those tribes that i was not able to find accurate leaders of; i just googled random indian portraits. So it could be that you might recognize certain leaders all being part of the same tribe.
The following things are lacking for it to be a proper mod:
-properly shaped internal states of countries
-names for spies, states, cities, advisors and leaders
-leaders and flags for all other ideologies (there are no other flags or leaders besides the ones you find at the start.)
-navies
-claims and cores from states onto others
-industrial balancing
-population balancing
-proper infrastructure
