Cold War: The Iron Curtain – More Jets
If you’re like me, you’re a gigantic nerd who’s immersion gets broken when playing Cold War: The Iron Curtain by seeing a bunch of prop-driven fighter aircraft flying around with jet noises for most countries. But if that’s the case, than I have a solution for you!
This submod for CWIC makes use of gfx models already present in vanilla Hearts of Iron IV and CWIC to add jet fighters to key countries in order to deepen your Cold War immersion. Say goodbye to generic World War II era fighters for every country but the United States and the Soviet Union!
The mod currently only covers light aircraft, as I am not a modeller myself and do not have the skills to make additional models. However, I may expand the mod to include additional aircraft of all types if anyone offers up or grants permission to use some of their own models.
Once the CWIC team adds in more jet models of their own, I’ll likely discontinue or delete this mod as it will have served its purpose. Until then, enjoy! And thanks to the CWIC team for making one of my favorite HOI IV mods!
