A: This mod makes several big regions of the world map impassable for troops. Including Sahara desert, Great Victoria desert and tropical rainforests of the world. These areas in real life had not seen any action during WW2 for obvious reasons.
A: AI usually looses wars to attrition. AI send a lot of troops to Sahara and they just sit there, while AI industry produce weapons to be destroyed by desert attrition. By excluding this areas from accessible lands AI performance improves. Also, you are saved from unrealistic, boring and stupid war in Sahara while you are trying to protect your Libya, Aljeria or Egypt.
A: This mod does not remove provinces from states and it does not alter state files. This mod keeps political map intact and you can "paint" your world as you wish.
Q: What AI players would benefit from this mod?
A: Italy, Japan, UK, France
A: This mod would not be compatible with any mod that adds/removes new states or provinces. Otherwise you are good to go.
A: No.
A: Mod tricks the game to think that provinces are lakes, while leaving them graphically the same.
