Imperiale Saeculum
In 1755, George Washington was enlisted to the Braddock Expedition, like in our time line it ends in failure and in the gunfight, George Washington was killed. The Revolution continues to spark but without a strong military leader, the lines begin to crumble at the seams. Thomas Jefferson sees the almost inevitable failure of the Revolution and returns to America from France, knowing he would be executed if the Revolution fails. Thomas is greeted with open arms, swiftly taking control of the American military. From his time in France, Jefferson picked up French line fighting tactics. However these tactics are reliant on a stronger military force which they did not have. Thomas Jefferson, refusing to cross the Delaware River, underestimating the British Forces and doesn’t see the rest of the British Army surrounding their flank. By the time he realizes it’s too late, the divisions were slaughtered by the thousands. Many of the remaining soldiers who abandoned their position fled to the Appalachian Mountains and further west towards the Chicago area.
