This is a remake of my very first mod, Dreams of Carthage, that I released about ~2 years ago. I’ve learned a lot since then, and I felt like I owed it to my original mod to make it better than ever. It has better balance, a better focus tree, and much more interesting paths, in my opinion anyways. This mod features three paths.
The first path being a democratic path where the Protectorate of Tunisia stays loyal to France and earns its independence in slower, but less violent way.
The second path comes after a Revolutionary War is won against France, where the Bey of Tunis proclaims the Husainid Caliphate, a non-aligned path, where you fight to unite ALL of Islam under your banner.
The final path is the namesake of the mod, a non-aligned path where you recreate the ancient civilization of Carthage and take back land that is rightfully yours, finally culminating in the creation of your own colonial empire.
Additionally, the mod includes unique country leaders and generals who actually existed, unlike in my original mod. Unfortunately, there weren’t really any Tunisian, Algerian, or Moroccan generals during WW2, so for the two paths where you revolt against France, you instead hire real mercenary leaders to act as generals for your forces, an obvious nod to the way the Carthaginian Empire’s military operated in the Punic Wars.
