Rebalanced Conversion and Refit Costs
This mod lowers the overall amount of industry capacity (ic) it takes to upgrade planes, tanks and ships. In particular it is now much cheaper to make small changes to designs while major overhauls are still fairly expensive (though still cheaper).
Updated for game version 1.13.*(Solar Polaris/Arms Against Tyranny).
Not achievement compatible.
(Should be) Save compatible.
Works with any dlc combination (that adds one of the equipment designers).
– The biggest overhaul has been to ships, making minor changes is now a lot cheaper and major overhauls are also cheaper to a lesser degree. It is also a lot more difficult to have a refit that costs more than the original cost of the ship.
– Reduced the base cost for tank conversions, making minor upgrades much cheaper while major overhauls are only a little cheaper.
– Converting planes is now MUCH cheaper due to the base cost being decreased drastically (engines are still expensive though).
(Percentages are based on the costs of the modules being upgraded to).
– Tank chassis & plane airframe refit base cost is now 0.15 down from 0.9.
– Naval hull refit base cost is now 0.05 down from 0.2.
– Upgrading any module to the same type (e.g. heavy battery I to heavy battery III) is now at 50% of module cost (of the heavy battery III) unless it was already cheaper.
– Direct upgrade costs (e.g. from light battery I to light battery II) is now at 25% unless already cheaper.
– Heavy engine upgrades are now at 100% of engine cost (was ~200%)
– Other engine upgrades from any other engine is now at 150% (was well over 200% and sometimes WAY more).
– Direct engine upgrades are now at 75% (was close to non-direct values).
– Compatible with my "XP Design Costs Rebalanced" mod.
– Not compatible with mods that change that stats of ship modules or the cost of airframes/chassis/hulls.
