Description:

What’s KoreaMap+?
A custom map resource featuring almost 600 states across Korea, parts of Japan, northeastern China and the Vladivostok metropolitan area. Each state features accurate population numbers (as of February 2023) as well as a matching state category and appropriately valued victory point (except for a handful of states with less than 20.000 people living in them). Feel free to use it for your mod, so long as credit is given.

FAQ

Q: Why are there no railways and supply hubs?
A: Mostly just because I haven’t worked with them before, and I would not have found the time to learn how to before the deadline I set for myself. Maybe I’ll come back to the mod and add them if there’s enough demand.

Q: What about buildings?
A: I think that I probably should have added infrastructure while i was adding state categories, but I forgot and didn’t end up finding any time to do it after. As for factories, air bases etc. – that sorta stuff simply lies outside of the mod’s scope.

Q: Will you add releasable tags?
A: Again, if there’s enough demand.

Q: Why does the mod use both the McCune-Reischauer and Revised Romanizations of Korean?
A: I personally prefer McCune-Reischauer, and since the DPRK continues to use it to this day, I simply decided to have it in the north while applying the Revised Romanization in the south.

Q: How long did you work on this mod for?
A: All in all, roughly three to four weeks.
