Road to 56 advanced nuclear engine
Adds additional nuclear engine technology.
- The second level of technology unlocks engines to medium and small ships and improve previous engines.
- The third level adds an atomic engine for tanks and improve previous engines.
Technology and modules is balanced.
This mod partially fixes the RT56 mod’s problems with the AI’s fleet production in the late game.

Completely redesigned naval production lines in the late game. The situation is much better now, but not perfect. This change took almost two days. In the original RT56 with ships is a complete nightmare. You can look at what america produced in the shipyards in 50-55. No wonder it was easy to dominate the sea. The middle of the game I have not touched and will not, as it will be necessary to completely rework the system of the designer of ships of their original RT56.

In the process of implementing the new engines into the AI logic, I found something horrible and unforgivable (just like crucio and avada kedavra).
The authors of the RT56 mod did implement their basic atomic engines into the AI logic, as well as some of the new ship hulls. However, it was done so badly that the AI practically didn’t use them, or used them as badly as possible.
For example, level 5 hulls are used by the AI only for aircraft carriers. The rest of the level 5 hulls just won’t appear to the AI. Also the production priorities of ships are not made. For example, USA prioritizes pre-war DD ship higher than a level 4 battleship. How about USA in the late 50’s producing pre-war ships? You can see for yourself by switching to the AI of Italy, UK, France, America, Japan ect. in 1950-1955 and see their fleet production lines.
Same problem with research. AI can simply not research many ship modules (especially level 4 guns) simply because the research priority is set incorrectly.
I’m very sorry to have stumbled upon this. RT56 is a very good mod, but after digging into its code, I realized that it uses its potential at 50%.
