Introduction

This mod is a reworked version of the Generic National Focus Tree. It buffs and expands the original focus tree in several areas while retaining much of its original layout. The point of the mod is to make the focus tree more versatile and make it useful to a broader range of strategies and ideologies. This to allow the player a broader range of options independent of the selected country’s original start state. It also allows smaller countries to have a larger impact on the global wars and the international level by making them slightly stronger than before.
This will change the balance of the game! Smaller nations will have more resources and factories as well as bonuses in certain production areas!

Changes

The industrial tree in this mod will give more factories per focus than the original one while expanding it to also include adding resources and decreasing consumer goods factories necessary by 5%. The resources gained through the focus tree are rubber, oil, steel and aluminum.
The political tree is generally the same with two minor differences, the democratic and communist tree has each a new focus which will increase the recruitable population by 5%.

The naval tree is also generally the same but with two added focuses. Depending on the player’s preference they will be able to either get a national spirit which will decrease production cost of Capital ships by 10% or submarines and destroyers.

The aviation tree will have several additions. It will have expanded aviation effort focuses to give more airbases and doctrinal research bonuses. It will also give new focuses to get more technological bonuses for CAS technologies as well as naval bombers. Furthermore, it will also give two focuses which will give a reduction in production cost of either fighters (heavy and light) or for bombers (TAC, CAS and naval bombers).

The army tree has seen some changes as well. The idea behind these changes was to allow the player to focus on necessary focuses for their strategy without having to go through unnecessary ones on his or her way while also expanding certain aspects of it. The doctrine branch, equipment branch, motorized-armored branch and lastly the special forces branch, are therefore separate from one another without interdependencies. It also allows players which has a need for special forces to quickly be able to focus on them and continuously get bonuses in that area. All to allow a broader range of option for the player. Lastly, I also added the extra research slot into this tree to make it accessible to the player earlier than through the aviation tree. It will also give the player a 10% reduction in production cost for Infantry equipment.

Compatibility

It should be compatible with all other mods as long as they don’t change any of the generic focus tree files. If you find a bug or experience a problem please write a comment and I will do what I can to fix it.
