Hearts of Iron IV: A Cold Steel World
The mod known as A Cold Steel World is a relatively Alternate Timeline Mod with paths similar to vanilla. However the differences are present such as Russia and of course Germany.
In this timeline, the 1918 coup devised by a skilled officer named Lavr Kornilov of the then White Army was successful. Following the desmantling and purging of the Bolsheviks and Mensheviks under Marxist Ideology, Alexander Kerensky was ousted in accusations of sympathy for the Far-Left and letting them roam free following arrest. As consequence, he was sent into exile by the Okhrana to a currently unspecified nation.
Meanwhile in Germany, the Republic barely survives with Paul von Hindenburg’s management. Several Radical parties though challenge his authority and calls for Democratic unity. The independent president knows that if he ever left office without a worthy successor, the German Republic will cease to exist.
The world is bound to face another military and or political crisis primed by radicalism. Its only a matter of when or how it manifests.

Mod History:
Mod was uploaded in Early January but we took several months of improving before it was published on Aug 31st.
It began September 25th, 2023, following a period of making promising mods that sadly failed. Due to lack of ideas and due to low enthusiasm, the mod once known as Imperiale Saeculum flopped and I felt like I had no purpose. Many mods were out there but really wanted to give something of my own, sadly I never did till today.
The mod took a year to improve some corners that desperately needed it. I was at first not open to a new crew at the time at least till November of 2023. There we started initiating new tactics after learning hard lessons over the 7 years of modding for me at the time. Following months of focusing on Russia then Germany as well as bonus stuff in between the cracks, we uploaded the mod in January but I felt as though it wasn’t ready enough yet so I postpone till I knew a good time.
Late August was the time to break the ice, or black ice as some Hoi players remembered LOL. But seriously, I was worried until I developed the courage and will power to release a decent and somewhat playable patch for the alpha. After many reforms, reworks and changes to the server and the eventual creation of a basis, its safe to say wehave reached that goal at last. Thank you for the support from the folks at our fine server and our partners we connected to.

Also this mod is under development, meaning that its not to where it needs to be yet, however we uploaded and showcased it on the Workshop to avoid any issues and offer players a chance to try it. We are working the best we can and will update as much as humanly possible.
