Historical Unit Stats
Historical Unit Stats is a simple mod that aims to adjust unit stats to more realistic values. In vanilla, the infantry marches with a speed of 4 km/h under ideal conditions, meaning they’re either marching 4 km/h without rest or marching 12 km/h for 8 hours per day. Neither is very realistic. With this mod, the speed is changed to 2 km/h, representing a marching speed of 6 km/h for 8 hours per day.
Current speeds measured in km/h under ideal conditions (*I’ve also changed some other stuff I can’t be bothered to mention, eg Camelry):
Infantry: 4 -> 2
Cavalry: 6.4 -> 3.2
Motorized: 10-12 -> 8-10
Mechanized: 8-12 -> 8-10
Light Tank: 5-7 -> 4-5
Medium Tank: 5-6 -> 4.5-5.5
Heavy Tank: 5 -> 3-5
Modern Tank: 7 -> 6.5
