Il Bel Paese | A By Blood Alone Expansion

By Blood Alone was the first expansion that came out after I started playing Hearts of Iron 4 a few years ago, and it was a much needed improvement to the game, but by today’s standards, and especially those of the modding community, some aspects of the DLC have become lack-luster to say the least. Because of this, Il Bel Paese completely reworks most content added in By Blood Alone, featuring seven playable nations, new events, new decisions, over 1,000 focuses, and more content to come.

Multiple additions, changes, reworks, and expansions were added by this mod. The majority of which are listed below.

Italy:
• New focus tree, featuring a historical Fascist path, three alternate-history Fascist paths, two Monarchist paths, one Democratic path, one Communist path, one Papal path, two Roman paths, and one Mafioso path.

  Yugoslavia:

• New focus tree, featuring a historical Regency path, two Fascist paths, one Monarchist path, one Democratic path, and one Communist path.

  Egypt:

• Added focus tree, featuring a historical pro-British path, one Communist path, two Fascist paths, an Ottoman path, a Monarchist path, a Democratic path, and an pro-Italian Path.

  Ethiopia:

• Reworked focus tree, adding new focuses with better rewards and shorter completion times.

  Additional Content:

• New Technology, Plane Equipment Modules, focus trees for minor-nations like Palestine and Albania, new game-mechanics and systems, and more.

Not everything added in the mod is only for the prioritized nations, as much content is added for non-affected nations as well, such as new map structures such as the Pyramids, Leaning Tower of Pisa, and more. Additionally, a laws-system is introduced for every nation allowing the player to choose laws for their nation providing effects which provide both buffs and debuffs, a new radio station featuring Italian songs and music.

The mod isn’t complete, and a lot of content has yet to be added. Some of this content includes more events detailing what occurred during this period, the ability to take a greater role in the Anschluss, the option to form an Italian overseas Empire, unique custom characters, operatives, industrial companies, and more.

I’m an individual mod-creator who makes all original content by themself, so updates, patches, fixes, and new content may take a while to be published, additionally I’m not a skilled GFX artist so I must use pre-existing resources. Any and all bugs will be addressed accordingly, as-well as balance issues. The manner in which they are resolved will depend on the severity of the issue and its effects on the mod.

Any missing GFX in the screenshots aren’t present in the actual mod, and are only a result of me having had my game in debug mode as I was working on the mod when I took the screenshots.

Do I Need By Blood Alone To Use This Mod?
• No, you don’t need any DLC in order to use this mod, regardless that the mod is intended to be an expansion for By Blood Alone, however some minor features may be missing.

  ]Is This Compatible With X Mod?

• This mod is NOT compatible with any other mod that makes changes to the world map, or any of the nations inside this mod. Otherwise, the mod should be compatible.

  What Languages Are Available For This Mod?

• Currently Il Bel Paese currently has full support for English, and limited support for Spanish, Russian, French, Polish, Portuguese, and German.

  Why Isn’t Switzerland Changes?

• Because Switzerland sucks. Nobody plays Switzerland.
