It took some work, but I finally fixed all of the crashes that I could find in KRTX: there was one in the interface, one in the buildings, and last but not least, the troublesome ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that hid from the crash log, the one in the air.txt units file. Shout out to Paradox for having a useful mod migration guide.

This is a quick and dirty unofficial patch for KRTX which updates it to work with 1.15, aka Gotterdammerung, mostly. I say mostly because there’s some jank since I haven’t updated any of the proper mechanics, just patched them enough to get them working. Not perfect, but good enough to tide people over til the bossman returns and updates the main mod. I played til 1939 from a completely fresh save and never crashed even once, so this should be rock solid stable..

So, the important stuff:

A) Nukes, jets and rockets SHOULD be available the old, pre-1.15 way. You get them through the engineering techs, though you can probably get them through the special project system, too. As far as I can tell, you need the special project version to drop the bomb because that’s tied into the raid system which I didn’t touch, but you can get the bombs via the tech tree. Not perfect, but good enough.

B) You can just research radar like the old way. There’s some messed up sprites (I did some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the interface file which stopped the crashing, mostly by doing a patchwork job with the basegame one – this can be fixed but it is cosmetic so I don’t care too much) on the tech tree but everything works as it should and it still unlocks all the correct techs as far as I can tell.

C) Jets are just done through the tech tree, same old.

D) I tested this using KRX, not regular KR. It *should* work, but I’m not entirely sure. I have not the first idea if this will work with any other submods or their compatibility patches. It patches all the out of date stuff in KRTX, but I don’t know if it’d be dependent on something that might be slightly busted somewhere else.

E) This does NOT update the special projects or anything. This is just a patch to get the game playable, not to make full use of all the new features. I don’t want to tread on PPsyrius’ shoes by implementing things like that, so I leave that up to them for whenever they get back.

Speaking of, if the dev wants the patch taken down, just ask and I’ll take it down. All credit goes to them for building this mod – I just kickstarted the thing and got it going again.
