This mod aims to flesh out the characters and Order of Battle (OOB) for the Chinese region in Hearts of Iron IV. Covering the Nationalist Government, the CCP, and various regional warlords (currently excluding Japanese puppet regimes), it strives for maximum historical accuracy based on rigorous research while minimizing disruption to the vanilla gameplay experience.

- More historically accurate generals and advisors (including additions and adjustments).
- 200+ brand new character portraits.
- Massively reworked OOB (Order of Battle and deployment) for the Chinese region.
- Historically accurate unit designations, starting locations, and numbers.
- Field officers assigned based on historical records, with reasonable deductions made where necessary.
- Experience, equipment levels, and officer ranks of certain units have been historically researched and restored.
- Minor adjustments to unit templates, keeping them as close to vanilla as possible.
- Low impact on overall game balance.
- Supports both Chinese and English (except for unit and template names).
- Modifies certain National Focuses and events (primarily those related to unit spawning).
- Tested and compatible with popular overhauls like "The Road to 56". No major conflicts have been found so far.
- Generally stable with no expected crash issues.
The core goal of this mod is historical authenticity. Characters, OOBs, and officer assignments have been meticulously compiled and created based on historical documents whenever possible.
In cases where complete historical verification is impossible, reasonable gaps are filled based on the following principles:
- Selecting a representative commander from contemporary or closely related units.
- Having a superior officer serve concurrently.
- Substituting with a more widely recognized general from the same faction.
The objective is to maintain a strong sense of history while carefully controlling the impact on core game mechanics and player experience.
The mod will be continuously maintained and updated to ensure compatibility with future game versions.
