The Fire Rises: More Ship Names + Naval Tweaks
‘More Ship Names’ submod has came to ‘The Fire Rises’ mod along with naval tweaks to enhance the naval experience of the mod a little more.
• Major playable naval nations have updated and additional categories to name their ships after [USA, China, Japan, France, Germany and Russia] as well as for nations with skeleton content [Italy].
• Removed numbering of hulls for simplicity and readability.
• Revamped navies with accurate ships and their classes as of Jan 1 2020.
• 2020-2025 Accurate naval construction queue with MIOs assigned to save time and be organized.
• Distinguished Attack and Nuclear Submarines.
• Tweaked Admirals for USA, China and Japan.
[Japan]
• Renamed all of GAW Mountain Fleet to have unique names.
• Every ship transfered from the United States is now renamed with a Japanese name, but retains its American class.
• Japan has a ‘unique’ way of designating their ships, so every non-DDG ship is a Frigate for simplicity and no matter how old the hull is, its a level 2 hull for balance against China.
• Changed the way Japan gets their ‘7th Fleet’ event ships from USN, instead of a ratio its now a seperate OOB file loading.
• Added a few ships to the OOB files when buying from United States Naval Command, ensuring that using each decision once will result in enough naval power for the Taiwan War.
• Tweaked the focus tree to fix the namings of new classes.
• Tweaked the focus tree to make the construction boosting ideas a little bit longer (30-90 days each).
[USA]
• United States now starts with no Frigate hulls based on their 2020 fleet, however ‘Oliver Hazard Perry’ Frigates will be present in the decisions for Japan when buying.
• Added ‘Gerald R. Ford’ and ‘Zumwalt’ Classes.
• Now both ACG and UOA, when reunifying with the United States Naval Command, will get all of the Admirals and Admiral High Command back.
[China]
• Tweaked the Centrist national focus and the ships getting from focuses and decisions to be consistent in terms of prefix and names.
• One dockyard now has x2.5 the output when constructing a ship.
• Ships consume less fuel.
• It takes less XP to change modules for ships, refit also costs less as a whole.
• Training gives more naval xp.
• The screening requirement is lessened – 1 screen per capital ship – so AI takes more proaction building larger ships.
• Admirals now have more spare slots for traits when leveling up.
• Submarines have a little more base speed along with HP.
• Nuclear Submarines no longer have the HP of a tin can.
• Missile Cruisers now have more based speed, making them reach to 28+ knots.
• Missile Cruisers consume less fuel.
• Missile Cruisers are less beefy in terms of HP so they are not vanilla Battleship 1:1, but are a little bit cheaper and have in-built armor value as the hull progress.
• Destroyer and Corvette hulls are uplifted in their HP through the hulls.
• Aircraft Carriers are a little more buffed in terms of naval dominance, HP and range.
• Aircraft Carriers now have in-built Anti-Air and Armor values.
• Aircraft Carriers now have more slots and can be customized a little more (like adding armor and AA).
• Helicopter Carriers are uplifted in their stats.
• Aircraft Carriers now can install a module ‘Nuclear Marine Propulsion’ which doesn’t consume fuel, but has a higher cost. [USA and FRA already have it, other nations have to complete certain focuses]
-> The aim is to establish Aircraft Carriers as the best option to have in terms of HP and Naval Dominance, making it worth the cost.
• More Names for standard categories across all nations.
• Rework namelists for when UK gets content.
• Rework MIOs to have unique traits.
• Rework AI fleet composition and production.
