Description:

Germany Overhaul : Foreign + SS Units and Expanded Territories is a mod for Hearts of Iron IV that enhances the role of the SS in Germany, adding new recruitable units for the Wehrmacht and the SS—both historical and fictional.

Current Features:

  • Added Breton, Galician, Hungarian, Croatian, Russian, Albanian, Romanian, Italian, Switzerland, Bulgarian, Serbian, American and six Volksdeutsche (Banat/Hungary/Sudetenland/Preußen/Karst-Plateau/Volga) Waffen-SS division recruitment options. Rework French recruitment option : Only SS or Unit for the Wehrmacht and the SS (this option decreases wehrmacht anger). Rework of the name of the division in the base game.
  • Added event for the Spanish " Legión Azul" and Osttrupen (Armenian, Azerbaijani, Georgian, Caucasian, Turkestan, Idel-Ural, Kalmyk, and Crimean Tatar legions)
  • Initial groundwork for improving SS-Wehrmacht rivalry mechanics in the German focus tree to reduce tensions. (Add two decisions to appease the OKW)
  • Added SS unit and divisions.
  • Added Volkssturm.
  • Added NSKK.
  • Added states to make a "realistic" greater germanic reich (+added focuses to core french and polish part, for other parts i will do it later).
  • Added decision to form Independent State of Croatia and Government of National Salvation (Serbia).
  • Added decisions to integrate (core) Protektorat Böhmen und Mähren, Generalgouvernement, Reichskommissariat Belgien und Nordfrankreich and Reichskommissariat Niederlande
  • Added Operationszone Alpenvorland and Adriatisches Küstenland (in case of italian civil war) and fixing some states in the balkans.

Upcoming Features:

  • Further refinement of SS-Wehrmacht tensions with new decisions and mechanics. Inspired by historical accuracy with room for alternative history, this mod aims to deepen Germany’s military dynamics while keeping gameplay balanced.
  • Integration (core) of Scandinavia and Switzerland.

Compatibility: This mod makes significant changes to the map and state ownership, so compatibility with other mods may vary. Users are encouraged to test combinations themselves.
