The first beta version of the mod will be released in September. It will include game content for Ukraine, the Russian Federation, and the Donetsk, Luhansk, Odesa, and Kharkiv People’s Republics.

The mod will feature a unique separatism mechanic, the Verkhovna Rada system for Ukraine, as well as thoroughly developed content covering events from the beginning of the Euromaidan to the peak of the Anti-Terrorist Operation. Players will be able to choose their path: to defend Ukraine’s territorial integrity or to lead the struggle for independence of one of the regions.

In addition, the mod will introduce a custom, highly detailed map of Ukraine, as well as an updated user interface.

The events of the mod begin on November 21, 2013, the day when Euromaidan erupted in Kyiv, marking the start of the deepest political crisis in modern Ukraine. Mass protests, triggered by the government’s refusal to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union, quickly escalated into a major confrontation between the authorities and society.

The climax of these events was the bloody clashes in central Kyiv in February 2014, which led to the death of hundreds of people and the flight of President Viktor Yanukovych from the country. In the context of a political vacuum and weakened central authority, March 2014 saw the rapid deployment of a Russian military operation, resulting in the capture and subsequent annexation of the Crimean Peninsula.

By April 2014, the crisis spread to the east of Ukraine, where a armed group under the command of Igor Girkin (Strelkov) seized the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region. This episode became the starting point of the armed conflict in Donbas, which continues to this day.
