This is a 2026 submod for Millennium Dawn for Hearts of Iron 4. This allows you to play this mod with the Millennium Dawn. If you are looking to play it with the MD Beta, there will be a version for that when the MD Beta is closer to release.
This mod presents the 2026 world with real life events and close to a timeline to this point. This does incorporate the 2025 Borders Mod and greatly expanded it. New focus trees with a lot of balancing for Ukraine, Russia, USA, Canada and Nato Countries. The primary purpose of this scenario is to play or oppose Trump’s USA. The secondary purpose of this mode is to have a realistic Ukraine – Russia situation that can wrap that conflict up. You can also play through the USA vs Iran options including civil war, "diplomatic", quagmire and even try your hand at total conquest.
Russia and Ukraine start much closer to their current statuses, although the game is unable to effectively model drone attrition so there is artificial weekly attrition placed on both countries until peace.
There are three support company units in the mod that have drone effects that improve based on the land drone technology. Check those out. Brigades with these drone support units can attack and cause an attrition effect, even if unable to take the target province.
The mod is called Revelations 2026 because it allows for the unthinkable, the USA going to war against NATO within the next 3 years. This mod lets you play that what if and fight his other wars along the way: Iran and Cuba. Canada is a particularly fun country to play as you could really thwart the USA with a stiff defense should they invade.
You can do the other things too, like bomb Iran, start a civil war, or put troops on the ground in Iran. Same for Cuba. There are custom peace events for all these wars.
There is also now a revenge war possible for Iran to strike at Israel on land, and start a full mideast war in the process. Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Syria, everyone can get in on the Armageddon…I mean action. You’ll want to check that out.
Russia has some new, old things like coups and trying not to fall apart.
All other countries like China, Japan and other non-NATO countries have their original MD focus trees, but most now have much lower costs for focuses which means they will take 7 or 14 days instead of 35 or 70. That’s also the case for Turkey, Israel, Iran and most of the middle east as well as China and Japan.
The focus trees will take you to about 2031 for everyone. I’m not trying to build a full Mod like Millennium Dawn is, this will stay a sub-mod that provides a 2026 start date, but new content will stay around the main theme of USA vs NATO, and or China, WW3.
A lot of work was put into updating most countries to 2026 economic and technology levels. Manpower, relative unit strength and air force equipment has been adjusted to be closer to 2026 reality.
