Choose Your Leader – Road to 56 Edition
Hello there!
Welcome to “Choose Your Leader – Road to 56 Edition”, a new version of the “Choose Your Leader” mod that covers every portrait from the popular mod “The Road to 56“.
Just like before, the concept works the same. In the decision tab you will find a full list of every currently existing portrait for the selected country from Road to 56. All you need to do to get a portrait as country leader is to just click the decision and that’s it! Your country leader has been changed to whoever you chose to be in charge.
There are of course still the two options to randomize your leader and to switch to a different list of portraits from different countries. The “Randomize Your Leader” option will appear at the end of the portrait list and will pop an event which will randomize your leader to a different one from the selected portrait list. The option to switch to a different set of portraits from different countries will appear at the top of the decisions tab and clicking on it will open a new list of all the countries with unique portraits from Road to 56, alongside how many portraits each country has.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. The Road to 56 gets updated on a monthly basis, with those updates usually including some changes to the portraits. I promise to do my best to keep up with them.
2. You might notice some portraits that look like they have been taken from the base game rather than Rt56. That is not true. Every Rt56 portrait included in this mod has some difference, even if a super small one, from its version in the base game. It might be more polished, or maybe some colors have been changed, but all differences should be noticeable if you look closely enough.
3. You can run both this mod and the regular “Choose Your Leader – Never Truly Gone” mod together. Both mods have been made sure to be compatible with each other.
Incase the mod doesn’t work for you, do the following steps:
1. Unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mod. Perhaps the mod just failed to get uploaded properly to your device.
2. If that doesn’t work, you have to go to "File Explorer" on your device and delete the paradox interactive folder in documents. Go to This PC > Documents > Paradox Interactive > Hearts of Iron IV and save your save games and presets in a backup location on your device. then, either delete the Paradox Interactive file (or just the Hearts of Iron IV file) or move it away to another backup location. then, launch the game with the mod on. After that, the mod should work for you. Stop the game, and go back to where you moved away the file from. You will see a new file that was created when you launched the game. Move your previous file back from your backup location in here (if you deleted the file, go to your Trash Bin)
