Expanded Theatre Icons – Ironman Compatible

Have you ever wanted to play an Ironman or achievement-compatible Hearts of Iron IV campaign, but felt that the default army, navy and air theatre icons were completely lackluster?

This mod expands the available theatre, army group, fleet and air group insignias with a much larger and more useful set of icons. It is made for players who want better visual organization without changing gameplay, balance, national focuses, technologies, equipment, map data or checksum-sensitive content.

Whether you are organizing large army groups, separate theatres, naval task forces, submarine fleets, carrier groups, air wings or specialized command formations, this mod gives you more clear and distinctive insignia options while keeping the game clean and vanilla-friendly.

This is a graphics and interface mod only. It does not change gameplay files, country history, national focuses, technologies, equipment, units, decisions, events or the game map.

The mod is designed to be Ironman and achievement compatible.

This mod is primarily designed for vanilla Hearts of Iron IV, but it should also be compatible with many other mods, including some large overhauls, as long as they do not heavily replace the same theatre, army group, fleet or air group interface files.

Compatibility with overhaul mods depends on how much they modify the theatre selector, insignia selection interface, army icons, navy icons, air icons and related UI files.

Other overhaul mods may work, but compatibility can be limited depending on how their UI is built.

This mod is intended as a vanilla-friendly, Ironman-compatible way to enjoy expanded theatre icons, army group insignias, fleet icons and air group icons without needing to play a full overhaul mod.

If you use another mod that changes the same army, navy, air, theatre, theater, fleet or insignia interface files, load order may affect the result.

For the cleanest experience, place this mod near the bottom of your playset if you want its expanded icons to override other UI icon changes.
