Practical Unit Icons – [Crunch]
Practical Unit Icons is a mod that started with CRO.’s “Improved Unit Counters” (2018) mod, but then evolved into this modified version due to my everlasting desire to modify HOI4 the way I see fit. Essentially, this is a mod for my use, but if you enjoy it then feel free to let me know!
I have adjusted the Organization Bar and Strength Bar to take up a much larger section of the division counter, as I believe the vanilla game’s counters leave way too much space unused.
The on-map icons and division template colors were taken from a much older built of Amine Alkaline’s ‘Better Mechanics : Combat’, and modified the way I see fit. I made the on-map unit icons tint colors depending on whether they are;
Motorized/Mechanized = Blue
Armor = Orange
Infantry = Default
I am surprised I’ve never seen a mod do this ‘tinting onmap unit color’ trick, but I find it really cool.
I have not yet tested it with the newest -s̶c̶a̶m̶- DLC ‘Thunder at our Gates’, so if you have any issues please let me know below.
Works best with any mods that do not change the division UI;
