Blackice 2.5 – Strength Sliders Improvement
This small mod has already been approved to be added to the next version of BlackICE, so you might as well get it.
This mod was made out of my frustration with balance testing or creating the proper difficulty I WANTED to play with. Its much more than just ‘buffing the majors’ to create a good balanced HARD game for the human.
First, Country Groups India (RAJ), CommonWealth (CAN,AST.NZL,SAF,BUR), Axis Minors (ROM,HUN,FIN), and Allied Minors (MEX,BRA,IRE) have been added. In addition, this allows supreme control over countries, by allowing you to weaken them as well as strengthen. Example, you want to make it harder for you the human, so you BUFF the Minors that will be your Enemies and you NERF the Minors of your allies. Because your allied minors will be very weak, they won’t produce as many divisions or equipment, and they will have atrocious attrition ratings – but they WILL have VERY small supply, so they won’t take up that valuable supply area, while doing nothing on the front.
All of the above, in addition to the Naval/Air modifiers I suggested to Panzeroo (which did make it into 2.5), should make this game much more difficult even for the most experienced players, but more importantly, help with balance where you deem it necessary for you to have fun in your game, your way!
