Historical Leaders (Discontinued)
I realized I was too ambitious for what I wished to achieve with this project. It began with adding Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin and that is probably where I should have left it. I have come to the decision to conclude this work for now. I lack the proper skill in Photoshop to create these effectively, and it simply takes too much of my free time. I’ve spent days and nights on just the portraits I have made so far. I may try to maintain compatibilty as the game is patched, and one can view this mod as a resource if anyone wish to make use of the portraits already made in projects of their own, or continue this mod itself. In the future I may revive this when the will is there and when I have proper experience of doing this.

This mod started primarily to add Stanley Baldwin since it irked me quite a bit. This is a graphical mod that aims to accurately portray the leaders of different countries during this time by adding them into the game, with events and new leader portraits. My goal is to bring historical immersion and fix the errors that Paradox overlooked. My skill is admittedly lacking, but I have tried to maintain the art theme of the game. I am learning as I go. I use Photoshop and existing resources (mainly for the clothing) for the portraits. The mod is fairly bare bones, but it is in good enough shape to be released as a first version. Any suggestions are welcome.
- New Political leaders while maintaing the art theme of the game. Included are Stanley Baldwin as Prime Minister of Britain from 1936 to 1937, and Pierre Laval added as Prime Minister of France in 1936.
- New Generals, among them are Edward Smigly-Rydz for Poland and Rodolfo Graziani for Italy.
- Some Historical fixes, primarily Romania being fascist in 1939 and displaying the wrong leader.
- Improved Rodolfo Graziani’s portrait.
- Added Albert Sarraut, Prime Minister of France from 1936 to 1937. Currently only as a resource, as there are no events for him.
Version 1.1:
- Added Rodolfo Graziani as skill 2 General for Italy.
- Improved the shading of previous portraits somewhat.
Version 1.0:
- Added Stanley Baldwin as Prime Minister of Britain from 1936 to 1937.
- Added Pierre Laval as Prime Minister of France in 1936.
- New portrait for Ignacy Moscicki, with reasoning that the old one was of poorer quality compared to the rest.
- Added Edward Smigly-Ryz as skill 2 Field Marshal for Poland.
- Fix for Romania. They accidentally had a fascist government in the 1939 start date, which means the current prime minister is not displayed and instead it is Ion Antonescu.
This mod alters files in gfx, history,localisation and events folder and may not work with other mods that affect the same files. Unlikely to be Ironman compatible.
