KR – DLC music reenabled + weight tweaks + Die Wacht am Rhein
A small submod that I originally intended to make just for myself because I was annoyed that Kaiserreich removed all of vanilla DLC music and no one else seemed to care. (Apparently everyone plays with official music mod and I’m in the minority that prefers original hoi4 soundtrack). But as I started looking through the mod files only then I realized that weighted shuffle has been effectively removed as well (basically every song has the same chance to play at all times, only differenciating between war and peace ones). And with this I realized that this mod will be a little more complex than I originally expected, and also I thought that maybe someone else is going find it useful, thus I decided to upload it.
Features:
– Die Wacht am Rhein back as the main theme
– Most of DLC music reenabled (except for Allied Radio and Sabaton Soundtrack)
– Music weight tweaked to suit KR universe – e.g. totalist, syndie and radsoc countries will more often play communist songs than others
Compatibility:
– A this moment it’s not compatible with official KR music mods, but that might change if I manage to make it work
– Funnily enough should be compatible with any other music mod that just adds new tracks
Notes:
– It will still play DLC songs only if you have corresponding DLCs
– Making Die Wacht am Rhein as the main theme may not exactly be fitting with the rest of the mod, but I like it more and it’s not like it’s gonna bother anyone
– It lacks Allied Radio and Sabaton Soundtrack simply because I don’t have them so I can’t really mod it. But I may buy the latter in the future just to improve this mod
– I decided for Authoritarian Democrats to play fascist music because otherwise they would have less veriety of tracks than anyone else, and most of the time it suits them better than democratic ones
As I play through this mod I will probably keep tweaking music weights, though if you have any suggestions feel free to message me or write a comment!
