Gain about 5% performance increase without any loss of functionality or gameplay features.

In the same vein as my previous Vanilla Performance Improvements mod (which has since been integrated into the game itself), I made use of the new features included in patch 1.9 to rewrite and refactor vanilla script code for better performance. It’s not as dramatic as last time, but it should give around 5% extra performance, as measured with the Paradox-made Script Profiler (included in HoI4 files).

87 files have been modified. Most of the changes include replacing expensive scopes with equivalent cheap ones, adding an allowed block to ai_strategies (new in 1.9), and general trigger cleanup/rearranging.

Nothing has been removed or changed gameplay-wise. Some tooltips were modified, but that’s the only change visible for the user. Quite frankly, there is no reason not to use this mod.

This mod is based on files from 1.9.1 open beta (9a9b), but it should work on just 1.9. I recommend to use the beta regardless, as it fixes a lot of other issues.

This mod is compatible with any other mod, under the condition that it is overwritten by other mods (that is the reason for the hyphen in the mod name) – of course, as my changes are overwritten, that may result in loss of performance gain.

Requires 1.9 or newer to work.

Is not Ironman compatible, and it is impossible to make it so.

Logo by Indyclone.

Check other stuff I have worked on, especially Equestria at War (which already makes use of the improvements in this mod) 🙂
