Free Wales (Cymru Rydd)
Welcome to the Free Wales Mod (Cymru Rydd)
This mod will allow you to play as an independent Wales with Welsh Nationalist polititians of the 1930s and onwards Wales starts of with its own type of Infantiers and Mountaineers (Troedfilwyr and Mynyddwyr) It also has increased starting factories and infastructure as a part of the nations alternative history. Wales has cores over many of its historic lands on the british isles, dating back to roman times, before anglo-saxon invasion of wales as well as cores in patagonia, a welsh colony settled in 1865 with strong heritage and culture to this day.
Alternative history of the mod
Seeing the successes of the Irish Republican Army in liberating their homeland from the British Empire, Welsh nationalists forge great ties with the rebels from Irelandand begin communicating on their plans and joining their efforts. In around 1935 the Free Welsh Army take up arms, seizing the oppertunity of britains weak political stand on the rise of the Nazi party in Germany in order to further their cause. Knowing that both Communist and Fascists would be more than happy to see a weaker British Empire they began political discussions with both nations in secrecy in order to recieve supplies.
In the latter half of the year, with a fully equiped paramilitary force, the Rebellion began in Cardiff and quickly gained support from the entire nation and other countries. Cardiff was Taken overnight after the local military force in Maindy Barracks was quickly surrounded and destroyed. More people joined the cause untill the army arose to the size of 4 divisions. The decleration of independence was signed by Gwynfor Evans, D.J. Williams, Saunders Lewis and Lewis Valentine, proclaiming that the Free Welsh State will be fully independent from the British Empire and that they would not renounce claims to all territory seized by englishmen during the 1000 years of oppression.

Planned future:
-Fleshed out National Focuses
-possibly creating other celtic nations as releasable (Brittany, Scotland, Cornwall, Brittany, Galacia and Manx)
-More diplomatic options with Germany and Russia
-more in depth welsh states (i.e. welsh border towns in england and more in depth statehood in the Welsh Mainland)
-Focus for referendum on unity with Wales for border areas
