The year is 1942. Britain and France backed down from their threats to wage war over Poland in 1939, giving Germany a free pass in the East. After conquering Poland in 1939, Germany turned on the Soviet Union in 1940.
After two years of fighting, Germany has conquered all of Russia up to the Urals. Stalin has fled to Siberia, where he is struggling to maintain his grip on power. Britain and France are frozen in indecision, while Italy stews in jealousy at Germany’s accomplishments. The United States has recovered from the Great Depression and amassed incredible industrial and material strength. In the Far East, Japan is on the verge of triumph in China.
