The Habsburg Dream
The Habsburgs have held onto control in Austria, and now they look beyond their borders longingly, wishing to restore their hegemony over Central and Eastern Europe once more.
But all is not well for Austria, their nation is weakened by the Treaty of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, and Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, and Romania are not likely to let them cast these restrictions off easily.
That and the growing nationalist sentiments who do not wish to restore the old, but want to create a New Order, points to three potential paths for Austria: Restoring the Habsburg’s Dreams, establishing a New Order on the continent, or simply chaos and destruction throughout the Alpine Mountains.
