After months of work, the French and UK focus trees have been re-released on the BlackICE test version! These trees have been reworked, rebalanced, and have had some new focuses added to them. Please subscribe to the BlackICE Test version (which also contains even more new features besides my focus trees) and check out the new content!

French Focus Tree Expanded

• France’s focus tree has been entirely overhauled. Brand new focuses have been added to help France address her economy, to rearm her military, and to expand her influence across Europe.
• The French focus tree revolves around political crises that will shake the foundations of the nation and force you to choose widely different options. Will the Popular Front win the 1936 elections and pass their reforms? Will France choose to intervene in the Spanish Civil War? Will France take a more aggressive stance against Germany?
• Once war with Germany breaks out, France can direct the Allies to sit back and starve Germany of vital resources or to lash out in an aggressive attack to save Poland. This decision will be yours.

British Focus Tree Expanded

• The UK’s focus tree has massively expanded. You now must choose how Britain shall rearm herself prior to the outbreak of war. As the rearmament programmes evolve, you will be forced to prioritize different armed services.
• Once war breaks out, new focuses will unlock, giving you powerful diplomatic abilities, allowing you to raise colonial troops, and beat back the Germans if France falls to the Blitzkrieg.

New Naval Deployment System

• England, Japan, and the United States (so far) have had their major naval deployments automated via national focuses. This improves the capabilities of the AI to build not only a historically accurate navy, but a much more deadly one as well.

AI Update

• Modded nations have had extensive work done to their AI so that they will put up more of a fight. Expect more difficult wars – especially at sea. AI updates were the initial reason I made this mod, so many more AI improvements are on the way!

New Unit Sprites

• Do you play with the non-NATO icons for your armies and hate that Black Ice has no unit icons for things like motorized artillery? Well, I added them. Lots of them. Practically every unit that has ever thought of driving a truck now has a unit icon with a truck. No more sneaky units using up all your precious fuel! Let me know if I missed anything!

Add a simulation for the Battle of Britain and the London Blitz.
Expand the naval deployment system to Italy.
Work more on Black Ice’s AI to make it even better.
Add more history into the mod through focus descriptions and new events.
