German Unit Level Icons for World Ablaze
This is a submod for World Ablaze (6.2).
It is not compatible with vanilla! If you don’t use World Ablaze, these icons will not work.
A word for the history purists: Because World Ablaze uses more unit levels than there were ranks in the Wehrmacht, I had to add 4 semi-ahistorical ranks to get a total of 26 levels.
– For levels 12 and 13, I used the ranks of Festungswerkmeister and Festungsoberwerkmeister respectively. Those ranks did exist until 1945, but only for combat engineers.
– For level 24, I used the rank of Generaloberst im Range eines Feldmarschalls, which did exist in theory, but was never awarded.
– For level 26, I used the rank of Reichsmarschall, which did not exist in the Heer. Hermann Göring was the only one who had it.
Regarding levels 4 and 5, they represent Obergefreiter and Obergefreiter with 6 Years of Service respectively. Those two ranks are represented the other way around in some amateur sources. Don’t be fooled. :-p
