German Unit Model Pickelhaube
Updated for 1.12 patch! Adds ‘Pickelhaube’ unit model for Germany.
ABOUT THE MOD:
This mod adds the historical ‘Pickelhaube’ unit model to the in-game country known as Germany with the following details:
– You do not need to complete the ‘Return of the Kaiser’ focus, since the unit models are unlocked since start.
– ‘Pickelhaube’ model is now used for all releasable German Countries as well (Prussia, Westphalia, Saxony, etc).
– You can select both the ‘Stahlhelm’ (the normal) model or the ‘Pickelhaube’ model for Germany without having to turn on / off multiple mods for that effect.
– The AI will always use the historical ‘Stahlhelm’ models, unless it brought the Kaiser back.
– The ‘Pickelhaube’ model now actually and correctly uses German weapons.
– All of this, while keeping the same checksum and being Ironman compatible, thus allowing us to complete achievements, without erasing/overwritting the normal ‘Stahlhelm’ model as well.

COMPATIBILITY:
The mod is ironman compatible since it doesn’t change checksum. Should also be compatible with most other mods, unless they change something related with unit models for Germany. The mod doesn’t require any DLC either. Works with campaigns in progress as well.
There might be some small issues with the mod itself, but nothing that will affect compatibility. Anything found will also be fixed as soon as I find it out.

I am somewhat reluctant to permit people to include this mod into a big compilation of mods or any sort of work, but depending on the work itself I might open exceptions, and I am usually very open minded so feel free to contact me in private (or here, but I might not check the mod that often so leave me a message on the comments’ area of my profile) if you wish to do so.
