Starting Approval for Democratic Politics Expanded
Ever found it annoying or weird how everyone’s approval rating started at 0, causing some issues, such as some nations getting assassinations right off the bat? With this submod, every country’s approval rating will [probably] be set to something above 0, so if anything bad is going to happen, it’ll only happen after a while when the approval rating has actually dropped that low instead of at the start when everyone’s ratings are still trying to climb.
More specifically: this submod will make every country’s approval ratings for DPE match the popularity of the current ruling party when a new game is started. For example, on a 1936 start, Japan will have 100% approval since they’re fascist and the fascist party has 100% popularity, Norway will have around 95% approval because they’re democratic and the democrats have around 95% popularity, etc. Note that this only works on new games – existing saves will not be affected by this mod, for better or worse.
This mod should be compatible with every other mod out there because it adds one new file and changes no others, including those from DPE. This mod requires Democratic Politics Expanded to function correctly. Please go to the DPE mod’s page for compatibility concerns.
