Overview

This mod adds Ammunition as a resource to the game. This differs slightly from the original mod as I removed the need for two new buildings. Instead, ammunition is produced and stored in Military Industry buildings. This should also make it easier for the AI as they will naturally build those buildings so we shouldn’t see AI fronts stall due to lack of ammo.

Adds a sense of realism that you cannot sustain large offensives indefinitely.

Consumption Rates

When in combat, ammunition is reduced from stockpile per battalion type daily as follows:

Artillery
Railway Gun = 100

Super Heavy SPA = 80
Modern SPA = 70
Heavy SPA = 70
Medium SPA = 60
Light SPA = 50

Motorized Rocket Brigade = 70
Motorized Rocket Artillery Brigade = 70
Rocket Artillery Brigade = 70
Motorized Artillery Brigade = 50
Artillery Brigade = 50
Support Artillery = 40

Armor
Battle Tanks
Super Heavy Tank = 60
Modern Tank = 50
Heavy Tank = 50
Medium Tank = 40
Light Tank = 30

Amphibious Armor
Amphibious Heavy Armor = 50
Amphibious Medium Armor = 40
Amphibious Light Armor = 30
Amphibious Mechanized = 20

Tank Destroyers
Super Heavy Tank Destroyer = 60
Modern Tank Destroyer = 50
Heavy Tank Destroyer = 50
Medium Tank Destroyer = 40
Light Tank Destroyer = 30

Flame Tanks
Heavy Flame Tank = 50
Medium Flame Tank = 40
Light Flame Tank = 30

Mechanized

Every other unit (infantry, militia, motorized, etc…) = 10

Additional Ammo Consumption Factors
  • Defense combat = 1
  • Offensive combat = 2

Buildings

Military Industry building now produces 200 rounds of ammunition/day and stores 100k per building.

Notes
  • I removed the extra consumption factor for leaderless divisions as the AI often creates armies without leaders.
  • Training armies does NOT consume ammo (yet).

Compatibility

Pretty compatible with anything that doesn’t modify buildings.
