Improved Turkey Flavor
“Sovereignty is not given, it is taken.”
This mod seeks to improve upon the focus tree added to Turkey during the Battle for The Bosphrous DLC, as well as improve the general flavor of Turkish content. As a result, Battle for The Bosphrous is required for this mod to work. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Changes are as follows (each one will be labelled based on what it is):
– [COSMETIC] Turkey will now have the ‘Republic of Turkey’ name irrespective of its ideology. The Turkish Communist Party and Fevzi Çakmak, should he go Fascist, will change the nation’s name.
– [COSMETIC] Updated names for Turan & The Ottoman Empire/Sultanate.
– [BUFF] Turkey paths that choose to mix Fascism & Communism with Kemalism will no longer get a completely negative Legacy of Atatürk modifier.
– [NERF] Should you somehow get Legacy of Atatürk as Adnan Menderes, the modifier will be a lot more negative.
– [BUFF/COSMETIC] ‘Victory or Death Against Communism’ is no longer about being mad at the Soviet Union for ideological differences, but rather about wanting the return of former Turkish territories — specifically, those in Azerbaijan and Armenia.
– [NERF] The Stability gain from Adnan Menderes’ trait Man of The Nation has been removed.
– [NERF] Adnan Menderes will now start with a negative trait, Controversial President, which he can remove by rejecting the offer to restore the Sultanate.
– [BUFF] Adnan Mendres will gain a positive trait, Upholder of Democratic Ideals, should he reject the offer to restore the Sultanate.
– [NERF] Dürrüşehvar will now suffer a Stability hit because of her status as the first Ottoman Sultana.
– [BUFF] Mehmet Esat Paşa will have a stronger trait because of his status as the Regent of a resurgent Ottoman Empire.
– [BUFF/COSMETIC] Kazım Orbay no longer has a renamed version of Crown Regent, but instead a stronger buff that reflects his rank.
– [NERF] Abdulmejid II will now start with a negative trait, Unpopular Sultan, which he will lose upon restoring the Caliphate.
– [BUFF/COSMETIC] Continue to Prioritize Balkan Integrity will now lead to a focus that lets Turkey unify the Balkans & Hungary, complete with its own flags and names.
– [BUFF/COSMETIC] Unifying Turan will now allow Nihal Atsız to come into power, complete with a unique party name.
– [BUFF] Focuses that took 70 days will now take 56 days to finish, whereas the 200 day Turanist Ambition focus will now take 140 days to finish.
– [BUFF] The Ex-Caliph can now peacefully restore the Ottoman Empire should he come to power after Atatürk passes away, and has a unique trait until he is restored to the throne.
