Gorilla Tatics is a historical, vanilla-based overhaul mod for Hearts of Iron IV focused on refining core gameplay and delivering a more balanced and enjoyable experience.
While keeping the spirit of the base game, we’ve reworked several National Focus trees for key countries, fine-tuned basic mechanics, and made a series of quality-of-life adjustments to enhance immersion without sacrificing historical flavor. This isn’t about adding flashy new content—it’s about polishing what’s already great.

The goal of Gorilla Tatics is simple: fair, fun gameplay where no side has an overwhelming edge. Whether you’re leading the Axis, Allies, or Comintern, expect a challenge that rewards smart strategy over brute-force exploits.
