Expanded Naval Doctrines
Hey everyone! This is my first mod, and it’s definitely a work in progress.
This submod aims to add more naval depth within the incredible Kaiserreich Naval Rework.
- Japan’s Naval Doctrines: I’ve adjusted Japan’s naval focus tree to introduce two exclusive and specialized naval doctrines. You’ll even see the focus tree background change depending on the doctrine you pick!
- Kantai Kessen (Decisive Battle): This path is all about committing to the ultimate, head-on naval confrontation. It buffs your capital ships it the hopes of a decisive engagement.
- Yogeki Sakusen (Attrition Warfare): If you prefer to wear down your enemy, this path is for you. It focuses on night battles and submarines, opting to wither down the opponent instead.(focus on night fighting, subs,etc)
Both doctrines come with unique, Naval Command Spirits and culminate in "perfection" ideas (missions)
- Reworked AI Naval Behavior: I’ve made some tweaks to how the AI handles its navies.
- For major nations (excluding the USA), I’ve adjusted the shipbuilding AI to prevent them from spamming carriers
- I’ve also refined the AI combat behavior, making them much less likely to disengage from battles. This should lead to more impactful naval engagements.
- Increased Fuel Gain: To help support these larger-scale naval operations, I’ve increased the amount of fuel you gain per oil.
This is just the start! I’ve got more plans to expand and refine these features. Once I’ve finished fleshing out Japan, I’ll be moving on to Germany next.
