Until recently, the Republic was the most powerful political entity in Northern Cascadia. The only perceived threat came from the south, from the Wardens. However, in its intense focus on fortifying the southern border, its leader, Saul Buchanan, failed to notice the growing threat from the pirates of the Ice Coast to the north…
Their swift raids undermined the Buchanans’ authority. The first to stop obeying were the northern settlements of tribes and miners. After the Battle for Steeltown(North Koover), the eastern tribes and the island "kingdom" also seceded from the Republic. The only ones who remained were the ghouls of Bellingham, and it’s hard to say why… whether it was due to an old oath sworn to Richard Buchanan, or out of a need for protection from the "monster" of Seattle.
Whether the Republic falls or is reborn depends entirely on your actions… but do not delay, for you are surrounded by enemies.
Ещё совсем недавно Республика представляла собой сильнейшее государственное формирование в Северной Каскадии. И единственная угроза исходила с юга от Стражей, но из-за сильного упора на укрепление южных границ, её лидер Сол Бьюкенен не заметил нарастающей угрозы со стороны пиратов с Ледяных Берегов к северу…
Их стремительные рейды послужили ослаблением власти Бьюкененов. Первыми перестали подчиняться поселения племен и шахтеров на севере, а после Битвы за Стальтаун(Северный Кувер) Республику покинули и восточные племена и островное "королевство". Единственным кто её остался в составе Республики это гули из Беллингема и трудно понять… они остались из-за старой клятвы данной Ричарду Бьюкенену или из-за необходимости в защите от "чудовища" из Сиэтла.
Падет Республика или возродится зависит только от ваших действий… но не медлите, ведь вы окружены врагами.
