The success of the Wechen Reform (1789) allowed the Qing Empire to embrace industrialization a century ahead of schedule.
In the following hundred years, the dragon of the East broke its chains and crushed the colonial ambitions of Western powers in multiple wars.
The once-great powers now linger in decline:
Europe in Decline:
The British Empire has lost the jewel in its crown, shivering in the Great Depression.
Radical National Syndicalism (NatSyn) spreads through Downing Street.
France has long lost the fire of its revolution, reduced to a second-rate power.
The United States, once the beacon of liberty, is shrouded in isolationism.
General MacArthur’s Blackshirts patrol the streets of Washington, vowing to build a racially pure "Fortress America."
Red Hope:
The Soviet Union was born, yet trapped in eternal infighting among the "Troika" — Trotsky, Stalin, and Bukharin — locked in a terrifying balance, lacking external pressure.
In the East, the reformed Qing Empire dominates the global order.
But beneath prosperity, contradictions between industrial capitalists, old aristocrats, and the proletariat simmers like an active volcano, ready to erupt.
