In the vanilla Hearts of Iron IV, many Chinese warlord factions feature only a handful of commanders, with historical research that could be further refined. Building on the vanilla foundation, this mod adds over 200 historical characters (generals, political advisors, military theorists, and high command officers) to the Republic of China and various warlord factions. It also provides historically accurate 1936 OOB (Order of Battle), realistic unit designations, and custom portraits, further enriching the immersion of the Chinese theater.

All factions feature custom OOB and field officers (divisional commanders), with some factions additionally featuring:

• Army commanders (corps-level)
• Political advisors (industrialists, fortification engineers, etc.)
• Military theorists (army/navy/air)
• Army/Navy/Air ministers and chiefs of staff (cabinet members)

Completely reworked 1936 starting unit deployments for all factions, with distinct templates for different troop types. Every division is assigned its historical commander with a custom portrait (with reasonable inference where records are incomplete). Unit experience levels, equipment status, and officer ranks have also been historically researched where possible. Template adjustments are kept minimal to stay close to vanilla, with low impact on game balance.
