Pacific Island Overhaul
Mod is updated. Last patch probably forever. Have not tested to see how it works with the new DLC and focuses, I just know it wont explode when I click play. Tried to remake the mod originally but half the nudge tool has broken since I first made this. Thanks Paradox.
also I still dont know how to change the thumbnail.
Welcome to the Pacific Island Overhaul mod:
This mod aims to expand on the Islands and Strategic Zones of the Pacific to add more interest in the theater as a whole. Gone are the days of just taking 3 Islands before arriving in Hawaii or Tokyo. No more can you walk across water. Finally you can underestimate Japanese defenses and spend more men and time fighting for Iwo Jima! New states add new airfields which can be used by yourself to gain supremacy over your enemies or be turned against you to strike at your exposed supply lines. Now there’s more to worry about, now there’s more to use against your enemies. Command the Japanese Army in an audacious conquest or come ashore with American Marines Island hopping their way to victory. The choice is yours.
- New States:
- Tinian, Rota, and Saipan are all free’d from the single state that used to unify them.
- All the Solomon Islands (except one because I was lazy) are now all independent states adding more pain to the South Pacific. I will not apologize for this terrible idea.
- Kwajalein and Eniwetok have both split from the Marshall Islands to form their own separate states
- The Marshall Islands themselves were split into North and South so they’d fit better with the adjusted sea zones.
- Yap is now a state split from the Caroline Islands.
- Truk too has split from the Caroline’s.
- The US Line Islands split into 3 (Christmas, Jarvis, and Phoenix Islands respectively).
- Haumaefa split from the Ellice Islands.
- And more…
- Expanded Provinces:
- Iwo Jima
- Okinawa
- Palau
- Saipan
- Guam
- Strategic zones/Sea Crossings:
- Iwo Jima has its own Strategic Zone.
- East Mirconesia Strategic Zone now split into North Micronesia and still East Micronesia.
- Most Sea Crossings have been removed from Islands around the Pacific.
> > The Sea Crossings in the Philippines and Japanese Home Islands were also removed. I did this to make convoy raiding more of a threat in these areas as it was historically but im still on the fence about if its a good change. Please give me your feedback on this. < <
