Enhanced Capture Mechanic
Recently, when helping someone, I found that the capture mechanic in base HOI4 is super bad (basically, if they get encircled, they are captured without any chance to survive). So I thought, how can I improve this mechanic so it won’t be so… boring?
(btw paradox wanted do chance of capture, but they didn’t for some reason?)
Mod features:
– Generals now have a small chance to escape when they are encircled.
– Generals who escaped won’t gain any XP for some time.
– Worsened debuffs for generals who cannot be captured.
– Generals who escaped before have a small chance to escape again; in that case, they will get even worse debuffs.
– Country leaders and other generals who cannot be captured will get debuffed instead.
– The country that captured a general gets a buff.
– New events for the capture of a general.
– The AI can now deploy more generals HQS after 3 of theirs generals have been captured.
– Generals capture would now put them inside cities with 10 vp ( by default 5)

Mod supports:
– English (primary language)
– Russian
Translations into other languages are blocked, especially those made with AI tools. Instead, if you really want a translation, use a local copy of the mod or send it to me so I can verify it wasn’t made with AI. Other than that, you feel free to use my code in anywhere or update it.

If somebody would want to update mod in the future:
mod uses current version of 00_on_actions.txt cause there’s capture mechanic is defined. So most of the times you would only need to update it to the newest version and paste the code i changed. Also it’s uses trait gfx, if this gets deleted you would needed to re-add it back. other than that there’s nothing really that should break the game with updates
