Civil Defense Authority
Synopsis:
This is a functional recreation of an old nation replacer mod I made for OWB (The Civil Defense Network). I based the original heavily off of "The Calculator" from fallout tactics.
This new mod is essentially a "Generic Settler Plus" nation replacer mod for "Protectron Security Hub".
Following standard of a settler nation, i combined it with the ethos of the IRL organization "Civil Defense", a ww2/cold-war organization dedicated to protection and education of Civilians against wartime invasion and nuclear threat.
Lore:
After the bombs fell, a group of people survived the bombs and endured the wasteland inside of a pre-war factory owned by General Atomics, and dedicated to production of the "Mr Gutsy" robot model for the US Army.
Dubbed "The Brick" for its simple box shape, this factory possesses an on-site army barracks and storehouses containing Civil Defense equipment and educational material.
The people took the Civil Defense material as a basis for their new society and future government.
The store houses had uniforms, armor, weaponry, and the skills needed to survive. The Civil Defense Administration had published a wealth of educational material to survive in the post-apocalypse; cleaning water, cleaning air, growing food, building and maintaining settlements, survival equipment, and of course firearm training.
Conclusion:
This was only meant to be a "personal project" to add something i felt was missing. i tried to put a decent level of quality and balance in it, but its still just a settler nation.
The "Civil Defense" theme, and "fortress-factory" home base is meant to give the CIV an advantage enough to stand on it own and even have an impact; but its still just a boosted generic CIV, its not going toe-to-toe with anyone on the level of New Vegas.
I will make an effort to refine this mod over time. Any bugs i missed will be resolved if I am able.
