Better Classical Music
Most of the old Classical Music mods are now long out of date, so I created my own to maintain in perpetuity for all. This mod replaces the vanilla soundtrack with a much larger classical music soundtrack featuring (among many others): Wagner, Beethoven, Mozart, Mahler, Stravinsky, Mussorgsky, Strauss, Holst, Bartok, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Schubert and Debussy
A mix of well known classics and other tracks with some serious gusto that I felt fit well with the militaristic vibe of HOI4. There are conditions to play the heavier songs when war starts, and for different ideologies to trigger more songs of composers from those countries, so you get a varied experience replaying as different nations
I did extensive research to try to find the very best available recordings of each track. Often ripping from live performances by excellent conductors like Dudamel with very high audio quality and top level talent. This is what really separates my mod from the other classical music mods, which usually use standard album recordings of undeniably inferior quality. If you have ears, you should be able to easily tell the difference this makes (see the videos for examples). I’m serious friends, these songs absolutely SLAP
Many of the tracks are quite long, sometimes including several movements in a symphony. Some of these tracks are pretty heavy for classical music and may not be what you were expecting or to everyone’s taste. Feel free to disable individual tracks in the radio if you find they are too long, or just not your cup of tea so you can hear more of what you like. Hopefully there is something here for everyone and you will enjoy it as much as I do
Doesn’t alter the checksum, so the mod is compatible with ironman and achievements and any other mods whatsoever as far as I know
